Bobby Womack crafted an unparalleled career in gospel, rock, pop, and soul music as well as being an excellent songwriter. After his work with the Womack Brothers (also known as The Valentinos), Womack’s career included stints as the guitarist in Ray Charles’ touring band, studio work in Los Angeles and Memphis, and writing for other artists. Womack’s career as a solo artist flourished in the 1970s and he went on to record The Poet in 1981. Though having a fruitful career Bobby faced a lot of challenges and controversies and The Bravest Man In The Universe breaks that down perfectly.
