The Confession
The Bravest Man In The Universe is Bobby's first album of original content since 1994 and his first project since his 1999 Christmas album. This album is also the last album Bobby created before his unfortunate passing in 2014.
Legendary artist Bobby Womack expressed this when Damon Albarn called him to collaborate on Bobby's album “The Bravest Man in the Universe”. When artists called him for a collaboration, Bobby would express that he doesn’t want to get back into it but deep down he knew this was a lie and secretly missed creating music. The Bravest Man In The Universe is Bobby's album of original content since 1994 and his first project since his 1999 Christmas album. This album is also the last album Bobby created before his unfortunate passing in 2014.

Bobby Womack has had a complicated history and it is evident through this album that Bobby is re-writing that history. Rather than running away, Bobby is trying to turn that around and acknowledge his errors. He is showing fans that he is only human too. Bobby is looking for forgiveness, not only that but he’s forgiven himself. Tracks such as “Please Forgive My Heart” and Track 11’s Jubilee (Don’t Let Nobody Turn You Around) personify this theme of forgiveness and confession.
Jack Flahavan a writer for Retoux Magazine described the album's sound as "a cocktail of the old school and the new, a meeting between tradition and futurism, poetically entwined to create a soundscape in a sphere of its own.” Bobby is not only trying to connect only with his generation with soulfully produced tracks but also a new generation with an electronic funk to some of the tracks such as Dayglo Reflection.
